Can Amias Dose Be Reduced If Blood Pressure Is Well Controlled?
my husban was taking 4mg of amias twice a day the doc raised the prescription to 16mg but my husband didn't read the new dosage instructions and continued to take two tabs a day (e.g 32mg) can he just halve the dose to 16mg safely now or should it be gradual - His BP is great!!!!
Hi, Welcome. Bp medications should not be reduced all of sudden. It can cause rise in bp. Its good to know that your husband's bp is well controlled. So taper the bp medications gradually. Decrease salt in diet & tell him to do regular exercise. Thanks
