Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Amitriptyline is a tricyclic antidepressant drug used mainly for depression treatment. But because of its effect, it also induces sleep that is why your doctor might give you this medicine.
If you sleep better with Amitriptyline, then you can stop Lorazepam drug, but it will not help in your anxiety.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
