Can Amlodipine Be Taken To Control Blood Pressure Levels?

I was on flomax and Amlodipine for a week and started having dizzy spells. My doc thought it was the Amlodipine I thought it was the flomax and stop taking both. I’m most concerned about my blood pressure and would like to try the Amlodipine by itself. Is that a wise strategy. Thoughts?
