Can Amox TR-K CLV 500mg Tablet Cut Into Half And Used For UTI To Get Right Dosage?
My doctor prescribed AMOX TR-K CLV 250-125, as he has done before, for a urinary track infection. This time, the Costco pharmacist told me that they no longer make the 250-125 MG strength tablet - only the 500MG strength tablet - which I bought, but have to cut the tablet in half to use. Was the pharmacist correct? Thank you.

Cutting the tablet in half will not be correct dose as it contains two molecules. AMOX TR-K CLV 250 in UTI should be taken every 8 hours. If 500 mg is available then you should take it 12 hourly.
