Can Amox Be Taken For Root Canal While Having Celiac Disease?

Hi, I have root canal on my mouth tomorrow and was prescribed Amox TR-K CLV 875-125 MG Tablet from Aurobindo Pharm. (A generic form of augmentim) I have celiac disease and I need to know if this medication is gluten free! Please write back as soon as possible!

You have gone under the surgical procedure and it is advisable to take the antibiotic, just to avoid the chances of infection, the medicine that you have gave a brand name here and the medical issue that you have just nothing to take any thing with each other you can have this medicine without worry, hope this information helps you, bye.

Hi, thank you for posting at HCM.

Amoxicillin is a broad spectrum, β-lactam antibiotic. This medicine damages saprophytic bacterial flora and ti causes diarrhea even to the patients that don't have problem with digestive system.

I suggest you not to take amoxicillin, because this medicine will give you a deterioration of coeliac disease.
