Can Antihistamines Drugs Cause Fatigue And Severe Elbow And Knee Pain?
I have severe elbow pain and in knees also. Been very fatigued lately. Could antihistamine be cause? Ive take Flonase nasal spray in morning and night and alegra in morning and benedryl at night. I ve been doing this for ten years or more. No other meds. I m 45 years old. 6ft tall and 190 lbs.
Benadryl may be associated with drowsiness, it is one of the older antihistamines and has this as a potential side effect.
Allegra is a non drowsy anti histamine, though a small percentage of persons may still have drowsiness.
Allegra is a once a day antihistamine, this means that using the benadryl at night would involve taking too much antihistamines in a 24 hour period. This excess would also contribute to your fatigue.
I hope this helps
