Can Aripiprazole, Diazepam And Zubsolv Be Taken Together?
One of my relatives, a 36 year old male, is taking Aripiprazole 10 mg, 1 x daily, 10 mg. Tablets; diazepam, 5 mg, 4 per day, and Zubsolve (Buprenorphine/Naloxone, 5.7 mg., twice daily. He weighs about 200 lbs and is 6 feet 4 inches tall. Is this combination of drugs safe or have any Contraindications? Please let me know .
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
It looks like your relative is suffering from heroin dependence or other opioid dependence. These medicines can help in opioid dependence but Diazepam 4 tab per day is high dose. Diazepam itself has addiction property and it is not going to help in the long run. So, if your relative is still addicted to drugs, better take him to deaddiction center. You can also consider consulting your treating psychiatrist for this.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Prashant Gohil
