Can Aripiprazole Be Taken Safely By Someone With Heart Disease?
I am taking Citalopram and aripiprazole....also atenolol for my heart. My dr called yesterday and told me to stop taking aripiprazole as it can cause complication..I have been taking it for over 60 days with no problems in fact my mood is wonderful and my restless leg seems to be a lot better. IS it dangerous to continue taking aripiprazole? thank you Carole Farber
Yes, Aripiprazole is better to stop. In fact, it has a risk of causing problems though not always. It is not needed. For your mode, citalopram is quite enough and is safe.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Mahboob Ur Rahman,
