Hello and Welcome to Healthcaremagic.
I will try to the best of my ability to help you with your concern.
The symptoms you mention in query are occurring due to
aspirin. Aspirin sometimes cause pseduallergic reaction , which cause problem liek swelling and discoloration of tongue and
cough .
I would suggest you to consult your cardiologist for proper diagnosis and to rule out conditions like
GERD (gastrointestinal reflux disease ) ,which is also responsible for such symptoms .
Your doctor may alternate the dose of aspirin , sonetimes lowering the dose alone can solve the problem or prescribe some substitute . If it happens to be GERd the doctor will refer you to gastroenterologist .
Gastroenterologist will perform certain test (
endoscopy or ambulatory acid test ) to confirm diagnosis and may prescribe drugs like proton punp inhibitor or H2 blockers .
There are some natural remedies like garlic that can replace aspirin upto some extent , discuss it with your doctor .
Do warm saline rinses and gargles and avoid eating heavy and spicy food specially at night.
I hope it helps.
Thanks
