Hi good day, my wife and i are newly wed. My wife is commonly hving cough and colds. She take medicines for her cough weeks ago such tuseran forte, lagundi 2 tablets 3x a day and even anti histamine. She used to have allergies and very sensitive to dusts. Recently she took iterax, my concern is.. Does this med will not hinder her from getting pregnant?.
The treatment of allergy is to avoid allergens which cause symptoms of allergy. Medicines for cold and cough do not interfere in conception. But these medicines might cause fetal abnormalities if she is already pregnant. Advice 1. Levocetirizine 5 mg daily per oral for 7 days 2. Do gargle with slight warm salt water four times daily 3. Do not eat heavily at a time. Eat smaller meals 4. Do not lie down immediately after meal 5. Avoid dust, smoking, alcohol, dry environment, cold and spicy food 6. Wear face mask while in out door 7. Avoid coffee and tea after meal 8. Consult an ENT specialist for general examination of nasal passage I hope this information will help you. I will be happy if you ask another question Thanks
