Can Azithral-500 Be Taken For A Viral Fever And Runny Nose?

Can Azithral-500 be taken for viral fever.I have caught cold n fever.I am taking Azithral-500 along with Namcold since yesterday.I have taken Azithral-500 last night.Still there are two tabs for two days.Still I have temperature.I am taking Namcold thrice a day.Still my nose is running.What should I do?

Azithral is an Antibiotic which is used for bacterial infection not for viral infection . If it's sure that it is Viral infection only then there is no need for Azithral . But if your doctor is not sure then you can continue taking Azithral .

Most of the antibiotics will take 2 days to show effects . I advise you to wait for one more day and still no improvement in your condition revisit your doctor again .

You can also do steam inhalation 2 times a day and drink hot water . Avoid Citrus fruits .

Well come to HCM
This is allergic condition and this does not need any antibiotic and Azithromycin is antibiotic and this wont work here, the condition need to be treated with Tab Levocetrizine 10 mg three times in day, have a steam inhalation, hope this information helps.
