Hi,I am Neethu Vipin (Dietitian & Nutritionist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I take synthroid and lisinopril daily. I am currently 40 pounds overweight. I want to sign up for the medi-loss weight program which includes the use of B6 or B12 shots, and some supplements. Do you recommend I do that? A pharmacist friend of mine is not comfortable with me going on theeis program. Please offer you advice. Thanks!
B6 (Pyridoxine), or B12(cobalamin) injections have no role to play as far as weight loss is concerned. We advise it for very specific situations in which deficiency of either of them is causing signs or symptom of nerve damage like sensation of numbness or burning in the hands or legs. So although they are important in themselves for overall well being, to answer your question i would not advise them for losing weight.
