Can BP Being More Than 120/90 A Cause For Concern?

Checked my BP four times over the last three hours today, and has been over 120 / 90 each time, I am 38 years old weigh 185lbs, I have known of my BP levels for more than two years. Am I playing with fire here, do I need to see a doctor about this now, or can it be put off?

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Persistent blood pressure of 120/90 mm Hg is of concern.
However, in order to diagnose hypertension, you need to consult your physician and blood pressure has to be taken on three different occasions with special conditions like rest, avoiding beverages, avoiding smoking etc before measuring blood pressure.
If the blood pressure remains raised on all three occasions after taking all precautions then you will need to start with hypertensive therapy.
Thus, consult your physician at the earliest.
