Can BP Or Prostate Issues Cause Difficulty In Getting An Erection?
Sometimes when I ejaculate I can t feel it. Also at times I have a hard time getting/keeping an erection. I don t know if this is related but also have to urinate 4 or 5 tines every night while trying to sleep. I am 46 years old could this have anything to do with my bloodpressure ? Or my prostate ? Please help...
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern... Yes hypertension could be the cause of inability to get an proper erection. High blood pressure keeps the arteries that carry blood into the penis from dilating the way they're supposed to. It also makes the smooth muscle in the penis lose its ability to relax. As a result, not enough blood flows into the penis to make it erect. However maintenance of high blood pressure normally reverses this problem. However prostrate hyperplasia or other problems may not cause erectile dysfunction. Unless you have undergone surgery for that. Erectile problems increases with ageing. Other important causes that may be responsible could be Diabetes & smoking. I would suggest you to undergo a test for diabetes (If not done previously). Increased night urination or nocturia is important sign of diabetes & could be responsible for your erectile problem.
