Can Bactrim And Clindamycin Be Taken Together?

Can I take bactrim and clindamycin 300..together for my staph infections..its going on 4 days ..the first day the Dr. Cut it open a little bit..its been draining..i was taking the bactrim..the first 3 days...than i went back to the urgent care and the nerse put me on the clindamycin 300 and told me to stop taking the bactrim? What should I do..

These two medications can be taken together since there is no scientific evidence that some interactions or serious side effects exist. SO if there is medical indication then it can be taken just be sure to take it in recommended dosage. Also, you must be sure that you are not allergic to any ingredient of these drugs. If you start to feel any signs such as breathing difficulties or rash, you should stop medications and see doctor.
