Can Benadryl Help In Curing Amoxicillin Side Effects Including Headache And Fever?

I am a 69 yr. old female taking amoxicillin for two weeks for sinus infection. I continue to have facial pain, headache, low grade fever, sores, redness and swelling in mouth with coated tongue. My throat feels swollen and having difficulty swallowing. Have dc'd the med. but will Benadryl help with side effects?

It seems your sinus infection is not improved as symptoms persists after two weeks of amoxcillin.. You may need change of antibiotic with consultation of your physician..

low grade fever, sores, redness, coated tongue.. all these are not just a part of simple sinus infection.. It may be your sinus infection extended its boarders and got complicated.. So its essential you consult your ENT physician early..

Take yougurt or curd to counteract long term antibacterial effects on friendly gut bacteria..
