Can Betnovate Cream Be Applied On The Nipples During Pregnancy?
Is it safe to use betnovate steroid cream on my nipple during pregnancy, I ve heard that I should stay away from them entirely but my doctor won t listen to my concern nor tell me the implications of using this cream. I have a risen, cracked, weeping nipple that sometimes leaks puss, it s very uncomfortable and I can t seem to get any help whatsoever. Please help
Application of steroids not good for nipples if they discharge puss. Usually, they discharge colostrum during pregnancy if it is pus means the infection may be aggravated.
Use nipple protectors. Use moisturizing cream. Use olive oil. Wear a comfortable bra. Use ice pads or breast pads.
If symptoms not improved please consult your gynaecologist she will examine may advise antibiotics or antifungal in case of fungal infection.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
