Can Betnovate Steroid Cream Be Used For A Swollen Vulva After Treating Scabies?
Hello I had scabies a couple of months ago, before i came out with scabies my vulva has began swelling, it’s swelled so much and i went to doctors yesterday and she prescribed antibiotics and a betnovate steroid cream. I have no cuts etc just a patch of skin on my labia majors that is very swelled

You can cool compress the affected area. It will give you relief. For pain relief, you can take acetaminophen. Do not douche, avoid sex and any type of sexual activity. Taking sitz bath several times a day will be helpful. Get clinically examined, if Bartholin's cyst is detected it will be incised, drained and antiseptic dressing will be done. You will be given a course of antibiotics and analgesic for faster and better healing. Maintaining hygiene is important to prevent any infection.
Apply Hydrocortisone ointment for itching. Cysts are surgically removed. Allergy can also cause such symptoms so avoid use of latex condoms, sex toys or perfumed body lotion/beauty products. Get STD tests done to stay on the safer side. If positive reports are attained, you will be treated with antibiotics and antivirals.
