Can Brilinta And Prolomet Cause Breathing Difficulties?
Dear Sir. My father underwent for a angioplasty with a rotablation process 6 days before. Now he is suffering from very high breathing difficulty. Coronory blocks been removes and he has cured from the chest pain and related symptoms. He is taking following medicines. Brilinta 90. Aztor 40 Ecospirin 150. Prolomet xl 25. Lofh 25000. When I asked doctor about the breathing issue.he said it may be from medicine like Brilinta and Prolomet. Please advise Noushad.
According to history provided my opinion is brillinta contains ticagrelor a drug used to keep blood in anti couagulation state.
It can cause breathing difficulty plus other bleeding related problems.
Prolomet also can cause breathing difficulty but very rarely.
If breathing difficulty is more then you should consult your doctor for any other medication in place of brillinta and prolomet and thorough clinical examination to rule out other possible causes of shortness of breath.
Hopefully I have cleared your doubt.
Take care of your father.
Regards,
