Hi,
Buspar contains buspirone which is used to treat certain anxiety disorder or to relieve the symptoms of anxiety. Buspar is thought to work by decreasing the amount and actions of a chemical known as serotonin in certain parts of the brain. Side effects of Buspar are nausea, vomiting,
chest pain, confusion, fast heartbeat, fever, mental depression,
nervousness,
muscle weakness, tingling, numbness or weakness in the hands and feet,
sore throat, stiffness of the arms and legs, uncontrolled movement of the body, dizziness,
drowsiness, headache, allergic reactions etc.
Take Buspar only as directed by your doctor. Don't take more of it, don't take it more often and don't take it for a longer time than your doctor ordered. If Buspar is to be used regularly and for a long time, your doctor should check your progress at regular intervals through visits to make sure the medicine is working properly, so that it doesn't cause unwanted effects.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Zubayer Alam, General And Family Physician
