Buspirone is generally prescribed to treat certain anxiety disorders or to relieve the symptoms of anxiety. However, it is not used for anxiety or tension caused by the stress of everyday life. He should be evaluated by his treating doctor for an alternate effective but a safer medication for anxiety like benzodiazepine. Beside his BP should be measured periodically and if it is found to be high despite of stress management, it should be treated with appropriate medicine. He also needs certain lifestyle changes to reduce stress such as: 1. Regular exercise which releases endorphins thus reducing stress and it also prevents obesity. 2. He should avoid smoking, alcohol and coffe intake. 3. Limit Internet and cellphone use 4. Deep breathing Hope the advice given above would be useful.
