Can Calcium Citrate Malate Be Taken Instead Of Folic Acid While Trying To Conceive?
hi good morning..my name is priya bose. i have pcos and i am planning to have a baby. Thats why my doctor gave my glysiphage 500 SR 2 times daily and folic acid i.e folbid daily. i take folbid for 2 months. currently i have a ccm tablets i.e calcium citrate malate, vit D3 and folic acid. Can i take the CCM tablets instead of Folic acid
Hello, I really appreciate your concern. Folic acid is given to prevent neural tube defects in developing fetus. Calcium and Vitamin D3 in normal range provide good support to fetus development and prevents pregnancy complications. So you can definitely take D3 and folic acid. If ensure that the dose of folic acid is same in the combination as prescribed to you. Hope my answer has solved your query. Take Care. Thank you.
