Can Canesten Hc Cream Be Used On Face?

I have been given canesten hc cream 15g hydrocortisone 1 per cent clotrimazole for a face complaint and told to apply twice a day along with a tablet terbinafune 1 per day also shampoo Is this correct as I have read that canesten is for thrush and not for the face I have put the cream on my face Thank you
