Can Celexa Be Taken Along With Wellbutrin?
Hi, I have been taking Celexa to treat depression for about 3 years now. I m going to ask my doctor to prescribe Wellbutrin to help me stop smoking. I have taking Wellbutrin before but was mad and hostile. Can I continue to take Celexa along with Wellbutrin? And will I get the same results from Wellbutrin as a aid to stop smoking?

Hello.It is possible combine Citalopram with Bupropion (at adequate doses).
At the beginning of treatment intake of Bupropion cause nervousness and insomnia (recommended adding a anxiolytic as Lorazepam or Alprazolam) but there is scientific evidence on the use of Bupropion as one of the most effective methods to stop smoking. Please consult your doctor for a prescription.
