Hi,

It's possible that you're experiencing some side effects from citalopram, which is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) commonly used to treat depression and anxiety. The side effects you're describing, including a rapid heartbeat, sweating, and feelings of faintness, can be common in the first few weeks of starting the medication, as your body adjusts to the new medication.

If you stop taking citalopram suddenly, you may experience withdrawal symptoms, although this is less likely since you have only been taking the medication for nine days. However, it's always a good idea to discuss any changes in medication with your healthcare provider, who can advise you on the best course of action.

In the meantime, if you're experiencing uncomfortable side effects from the medication, you may want to talk to your healthcare provider about adjusting your dosage or switching to a different medication. They may also recommend ways to manage the side effects, such as taking the medication with food, staying hydrated, and avoiding caffeine and alcohol. If you experience severe or concerning symptoms, such as chest pain or difficulty breathing, seek medical attention right away.

Thank You. Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
