General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Each tablet of Cheston cold contains: Paracetamol 500 mg, Phenylephrine Hydrochloride 25 mg and Cetirizine 5 mg. Since it already contains Paracetamol as an ingredient, there is no necessity to take additional dose of Paracetamol.
It is recommended to take one tablet every time and not 2 tablets. The usual dose schedule for adults is three times a day (8th hourly).
Kindly take the medication as recommended or it may cause untoward effects and may land you up in complications.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
