Can Cheston Cold Be Taken To Treat Severe Sore Throat Problems?

Hi, I am an Indian currently working in the US. I am suffering from a severe sore throat for the past 4 days. For the 1st 3 days, I took AZAX 500 (1 tablet each day) along with gargles with lukewarm water. But I didn t see any betterment. The 4th day I had Cheston Cold tablets (twice a day). Shall I continue for Cheston Cold?

Hi,

Cheston Cold is supportive for upper respiratory tract infection via decongestant action.

You need an addition of respiratory tract antibiotic such as Cephalosporin, Cefadroxil or else to get better recovery.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Purva Patel,
