Can Chlorine In The Swimming Pool Kill Clostridium Tetani?
Hi, today about 5 hours ago my friends and I were playing outside the pool and I cut my left foot on a rusted nail, it began to bleed but after I cleaned it up it stopped so I jumped back in the pool, I later read that cutting yourself on a rusted nail can lead to tetanus and now I m very scared, does the chlorine in the pool kill Clostridium tetani or should i still go see a doctor, thank you

Hello,
Since you got a cut on your foot on a rusted nail, you ought to visit a GP. Get physically examined. Get a Tetanus shot.
Whether the wound needs a dressing or not will depend upon the severity(depth) of the cut.
You can apply ointment Bacitracin or Neosporin locally on the cut wound.
