Can Cimzia Cause Low Hemoglobin?

HI, I AM SO SCARED. RECENTLY STARTED HAVING LOW WHITE BLOOD CELLS, LOW HEMOGLOBIN, LOW RED CELLS, LOW PLT. IN LAST THREE WEEKS HAVE HAD TO HAVE 4 PINTS BLOOD AND NEUPOGEN SHOTS TO RAISE MY WBC. AFTER THE NEUPOGEN SHOT MY COUNT GOES UP FOR ABOUT A DAY AND STARTS DROPPING AGAIN. THEY ARE SAYING THIS COULD BE CAUSED BY CIMZIA THAT I WAS ON FOR IBD AND ANKYLOSING SPONDYLITIS. MY LAST DOSE OF THIS WAS APRIL 17. COULD THE MEDICATION STILL BE CAUSING THIS? I KNOW IT CAN SUPRESS BONE MARROW BUT HOW LONG CAN THIS TAKE TO GET COMPLETLY OUT OF MY SYSTEM? THE DR S HAVE SAID THEY ARE JUST AS CONFUSED AS I AM AND ARE STILL DOING BLOOD WORK AND I WILL HAVE TO HAVE THE BONE MARROW ASPIRATE REPEATED IN 3 WEEKS AS FIRST TEST SHOWED ABNORMAL CELLS. CAN A MED CAUSE SUCH SEVERE BONE MARROW SUPRESSION? THANK YOU

Thanks for asking.
Based on your query, my opinion is as follows.
1. Cimzia can affect marrow by causing bone marrow suppression rarely. The effects usually would last for shorter period of maximum of 10-15 days and improve after that.
2. At present Cimzia does not appear to be the cause.
3. You need to get a bone marrow biopsy to identify the possible cause. Vit B12 supplementation along with iron and folic acid is essential. More details necessary for further opinion.
