Can Ciplar-LA And Zax Be Taken For Increased Heart Palpitations?
My heart beat suddenly increases upto more than 175 beats per minute. It happens once or twice in 6 months and become normal after about 15 minutes. .Doctor recommended CIPLAR LA 40 and ZAX (ALPRAZOLAM AND PROPRANOLOL HCL ) tablets.. Is it right medicine
Yes, these are the roght medicines for increased heart rate. There are many causes of sudden increase in heart rate like tachyarrhythmia, anemia, anxiety, low blood sugar, hyperthyroidism, hyperventilation and strenuous exercise etc. Cause needs to be deciphered. Advice 1. Continue Ciplar – LA and Zax as suggested by your doctor and be in touch with him regularly 2. Avoid strenuous exercise 3. Avoid alcohol & smoking 4. Avoid all kinds of anxiety and depression as it increases heart rate 5. Do meditation 6. Investigations – Blood Hb%, ECG, Treadmill test, blood sugar, and lipid profile Take care!!
