Hi,I am Dr. Alexander H. Sheppe (Psychiatrist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been taking citropram for my anxiety and I am noticing I am going off the deep end with things more then ever. I feel as though I am lashing out at loved ones and am constantly irritatble and unhappy. I was stressed and minorly depressed in my past and this medicine helped for a while but now I am noticing how irritable I have become.
In think, your depressive symptoms have been increasing. In that case, you need either higher dose of citalopram or different antidepressant like paroxetine or venlafaxine. That would help to control irritability and low mood. Better to consult your doctor for proper management. In case, you need further help, you can ask.
Thanks
