Can Clindamycin And Azithromycin Be Taken Together?
I was given Clindamycin for a possible bacterial vaginosis infection. The doctor still ordered lab tests on my urine to make sure but I was told that I had chlamydia and they prescribed me 2 500my Azithromycin tablets. I ve been taking the Clindamycin for almost a week, will the two drugs have a harmful affect on me?
Understanding your concern. As per your query your doctor prescribed you Clindamycin and Azithromycin for bacterial vaginosis infection which seems to be a safe combination to use as it does not cause any potential side effects.
Need not to worry. You maintain complete hygiene to avoid spread of further infection and in case any complications you feel immediate consult your general physician/ gynecologist and get it examined and start treatment accordingly.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
