Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I was born with coproporphyria and am allergic to most drugs. my doctor wants to prescribe clindamycin for a protozoal vaginal infection. Clindamycin is listed as a drug to be used on with extreme caution and if no alternative because of my porphyria. The doctor insists it is safe for me to use. I also am allergic to sulfa and it looks like I need to cross reference all my unsafe drugs with sulfa allergy too. This a a very daunting task. I need help with this task!
