Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a prescription/bottle o Clonazepam 0.5 mg tablets my doctor prescribed in May. I have not been taking it since July because my prescription says use as needed . I am in a very stressful period right now and wonder if it is correct to take 1 - 2 times a day at this time?

General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi, Thanks for asking. I understand your concern. Ideally Clonazopam should be started with a low dosage... you should start taking 0 .25 mg once a day .. raising the dose by 025 gradulally over 3 days &so on till you get desired effect. Still as the prescription was many months back, you should ideally recheck with your pescribing doctor according to your convinience Thanks.
