Can Co-codamol Be Taken Instead On Paracetamol For Back Ache?
Hi, my wife has had a triple heart bypass on 29th May and 6 weeks ago suffered a mild stroke and spent a week in hospital. As it was a bleed rather than a clot she is not suffering with the normally classic symptoms and is very well under the circumstances. She has been experiencing a little back ache over the past week and having taking paracetamol as per prescription wonders if she is OK taking co codomol as prescribed for her heart bypass operation instead of the paracetamol as she has plenty of either

Yes,its OK,but not recommended to take Co- codamol instead of paracetamol.But the frequency should be maximum two to three times a day and for a shorter duration because of its addictive potential.Her doctor should be informed prior to any drug alteration.Hope this helps.Take care.
