Can Cortizone Injection In A Hip Cause Inflammation In Upper Leg?

It is possible for a cortizone shot in one hip to case inflammation in the other hip and upper leg. I was given a shot and a day later I started having severe pain in my other upper leg and hip. The leg was fine before the shot. It actually feels like a quad strain.

cortizone injection itself is given to reduce inflammation. so there is not much chance that the swelling in the other hip and leg be related to the cortizone injection you received. the pain might be of some different nature. i cannot comment on the pain without examining you.
