Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here...
Been on coumadin for about a month now, and have been diagnosed with afib. This evening for the first time, I experienced a numbness in my right hand which went on for about a half hour, despite my efforts to eliminate the numbness by hand movement. Not sure if this is a result of the coumadin, and I'll check with my doc in the am. Anyione online now who may have had experience with this? If so, I'll appreciate your insights. /Al
History or symptom of numbness in the right arm could be due to cervical disc lesion or herniation that might be compressing.
The adjoining nerve, rt arm numbness may not be due to medicine or A-fib, the second possibility is the wrong posture during sleep so try to maintain the good posture.
To rule out the possibility of cervical disc lesion imaging study is advisable.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
