What Causes Pain In Head Radiating To The Shoulder Blade?

I have alot of hand numbness, and i wake up in the middle of the night with hand pain. I also have pain down the right side of my head down to my right shoulderblade. could this be just a pinched nerve? or something more serious. hand numbness is getting worse
