Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Does cymbalta have a negative effect on sex drive? I have recently been prescribed meperidine 100mg / ciprofloxacin 500mg / Cephalexin for upcoming genital testing. Along with Cymbalta/Duxeltine I take Benicar/Hydrochlorothiazide & Simvastatin Will the interact O.K.?
Cymbalta and meperidine both increase serotonin levels and therefore avoid combining these drugs. Ciprofloxacin will increase the levels or effect of cymbalta so tell your Doc to consider a different class of antibiotics. Cephalexin will also increase the level of cymbalta but the effect of this is considered minor and therefore not a big deal if these are combined
