Hi & Welcome.
I can understand your concern.
Age, gender, etc??
Yes, it may be taken while on the BP lowering medications.
Most of the commonly used non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) when used along with BP lowering medications such as
Atenolol or
Amlodipine may reduce their BP lowering effects.
However, when used along with Atenolol and Amlodipine Devils Claw does not appear to reduce the efficacy of these medications hence can be used safely together.
Taking Devils claw by mouth seems to be effective in reducing the low-
back pain. Ant it may taken safely in the dose of 0.6-2.4 grams twice daily for up to one year after consulting your doctor.
Generally considered to be a safe medication however its most common side effect is
diarrhea. Other possible side effects include nausea, vomiting, stomach pain,
headaches, ringing in the ears, loss of appetite, and loss of taste.
There are no known interactions with herbs and supplements.
Hope these answer your queries.
Best regards.
