Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am the manager of an MRI center. I have a Claustrophobic pt. coming in next week that periodically takes Tramadol. can you mix Diazapam and Tramadol? If not, how long does a pt. need to be off Tramadol before safely giving Diazapam before an MRI? Thanks, Patrick Ennis
Tramadol and diazepam can be given together. However it might increase the drowsiness in the patient. I would advice you to give a lower dose of tramadol in this particular case. If you are uncomfortable giving tramadol and diazepam I would advice you to wait for 6 hours before giving diazepam
I hope I was of help
Regards
