Can Diprofos Injection Be Taken For Asthma?

Hi Dr my wife suffer from Asthma and the Dr ordered prednisolone tablet for 15 days, after she finished the tablet she still did not get relief from her pain, as a side effect she feel additional pain that were not known to her. The Dr also order Diprofos injection. Does it has side effect for her to take this? Thank you for your kind help wondm

I understand your concern.
Diprofos Injection contains ingredients namely: Betamethasone Dipropionate and Betamethasone Disodium Phosphate.
It is a corticosteroid preparation which acts by decreasing the inflammation. Thus, this injection is used in control and treatment of Chronic bronchial Asthma.
The possible side effects with its use are possible, but do not always occur. These include: dryness of skin, Acne, Itching and Change in skin colour.
Kindly take the medication as prescribed by your doctor and do the necessary follow-up as advised.
