Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been taking doxycicline hyclate for a month an a half at the request of my dermatologist because I have lost some hair and have bald patches. I have been nauseated for the past week and I read on line that this is a side effect associated with this medication. Shall I stop taking the medication?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice. Nausea is a side effect of Doxycycline. I dont think that you should stop the medication. You can take Reglan 10 mg three times a day to relief the nausea.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
