What Causes Hematuria While On Doxycycline And Lactic Acid Bacillus?
Whether intaking of doxycycline with lactic acid bacillus capsules cause hematuria??. I was taking doxycycline capsules,B complex, and Metronidazole tablets for past three days which was prescribed by dentist for gum bleeding after checking. Whether these causes any hematuria.( I have a menstruation cycle now).So can you plz tell me whether menses causes hematuria or intaking of these drugs causes hematuria????

I understand your concern.
The medications what you have been prescribed by your Dentist namely Doxycycline with lactic acid bacillus, Metronidazole and B-complex does not cause hematuria.
It could have been due to mixing up of menstrual blood during urniation, which could be mistaken for hematuria.
Also, you need to remember that certain manufactures of B-complex capsules and Metronidazole medication could cause alteration in the colour of urine like yellow - orange colour, which also could be mistaken for hematuria.
In case if this problem persists after you complete the course of medications, then the cause for it needs to be evaluated. Otherwise, you need not worry about it.
