General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Thanks for your query on HCM

"As"per your clinical history is concerned please follow like this -

1)Both medications can not be combined together because both increase sympathetic (adrenergic) effects, including increased blood pressure and heart rate.

2)Use [Saline nasal spray]to clear blocked nose and take a course of antibiotics as per your treating Doctor's advice.

3)Avoid upper respiratory infections. Minimize contact with people who have colds. Wash your hands frequently with soap and water, especially before your meals.

4)Carefully manage your allergies. Do check your blood differential count every 2 months.

5)Try to avoid cigarette smoke and polluted air. Tobacco smoke and other pollutants can irritate and inflame your lungs and nasal passages.

6)Regularly use a humidifier. If the air in your home is dry, such as it is if you have forced-air heat, adding moisture to the air may help prevent sinusitis. Be sure the humidifier stays clean and free of mold with regular, thorough cleaning.

Hope that helps
