Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Can EMU Oil Be Used For Chronic Telogen Effluvium And Cicatricial Alopecia?
I was thrown from my horse three days ago. I landed on my back but the back of my head hit very hard on the ground(I was wearing a helmet) I got a tremendous pain through my forehead at the same time, also felt very sick. I did not lose consciousness at any time. Was checked out I the ER no CT done. I was told I had concussion and most likely had bruised my brain. This afternoon when trying to rest I m getting quite a bit of pressure in my head, so have to sit up, then the pressure goes away. Is this a normal reaction when one has concussion, also how long roughly until symptoms pass. Thank you
I would suggest you to monitor your symptoms for the next few weeks. Kindly visit your doctor and check your blood pressure. CT scan is essential. The symptoms associated with concussion is temporary.
Immediately consult the doctor in case of severe headache, vomiting, convulsions, nasal or ear bleeding or watery discharge. Any edema or swelling of the brain can cause pressure symptoms which is also an emergency and should be treated immediately.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Saranya Ramadoss, General & Family Physician
