Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Can I take Ecotrin and Citalopram at the same time ...I mean is the combination not good I have been told to take Ecotrin instead of baby aspirin and have a prescription for the Citalopram 20 ML but only want to take 10 because 20 is too much for me.....but I am worried about side effects of taking both of these medicines......
Thanks for posting this question on HCM! Well, The actual recommended adult dose for Citalopram is 20 mg/day initially which can be increased upto 40 mg/day without any harmful side effects. Ecotrin can be used upto 162 mg/day to make your blood thinner without having any harmful interactions with citalopram as such. I hope your query has been answered. Regards!
