Can Edarbyclor And A Garlic Supplement Be Taken Together?

When I used to take (3) 1,000 mg of garlic capsules daily my HP was always great ie 106/70. I’m older now. Stopped taking garl caps several years ago. HP now runs 176/104. Taking Coreg daily and Edarbyclor 40-25 mg and 2 potassium 20 meq daily. Want to resume 3,000 mg garlic daily..... question what side effects if any would that produce?

Hello! Welcome to HealthcareMagic!

I appreciate your knowledge and the vigilant attitude towards drugs you administer. Of course garlic is proven to have some interactions with some medicines like Isoniazid, Warfarin, etc but not with those medicines which you have been using for hypertension. So, you can safely consume garlic capsules now. Moreover, there are a few studies which show the effectiveness of garlic in reducing hypertension of upto 7-8% but it is not be proven in very large case studies. Anyhow, garlic has got so many other benefits too that make it important.

Hope your doubt is cleared. Any further queries, please let me know. I'm always here to promptly guide you. Thank you for the query.

Take care

Regards,
