Can Essentiale-L Be Taken For Elevated SGPT And SGOT Levels In Blood?
Dear Doc. My sgpt is 46 and sgot is 37. Both are marginally on the higher side. I have been advised to take Essentiale L. Will that help bring the levels to the range of 15/20 - which is my normal range in an LFT blood test. Am a colon cancer survivor of 2009, so just like to stay vigilant. My cbc and other LFT parameters are normal. Pls advise.
Onfi intake can result in side effects like: - Drowsiness, dizziness, weakness, sleep problems - Vomiting, constipation and change in appetite which can increase or decrease the body weight - Urinary and respiratory tract infection As you are on Onfi, constipation & weight gain are the expected side effects. If the symptoms are troublesome, you can ask your Doctor for altering the dosage.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Yogapriya Vasudevan, General & Family Physician
