Can Estradiol Be Taken Be Taken For A Prolonged Period?
I am 65 years old, at age 40 I had a total hysterectomy and oophorectomy. I have used a Femring for the majority of the time but changed to a 50mg pill of estradiol 5 months ago. I don t know what to do. Should I continue on it or stop? Is it dangerous for me? I was told as long as I have vaginal receptors I should continue. I don t want to just dry up either or does that not really happen. if I go off the estradiol, how do I do that?
I think you should stop taking hormone replacement therapy because you are at menopause according to your age. You can use over the counter lubrication medications ointment.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
